Through meditation, we can contact the Light and Sound within. Then, we can travel on the inner current through the higher regions until it reaches the Source, God. Like a drop of water returns to the ocean, so does our soul return to the Ocean of God."

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj

Birthday Celebrations - Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, Delhi India 4-8 February 2010

Arrival in India

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, Mata Rita Ji and Rimjhim Ji arrived at Kirpal Bagh in Delhi, India on the night of February 4, 2010. “The spiritual Master ascended the dais amidst thunderous and prolonged applause and then lovingly addressed the assembly of thousands,” reported an attendee who was present at the occasion.

Expounding on the topic of the sorrow felt by a disciple on being physically separated from the spiritual Master, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj pointed out that the beauty of the path of Sant Mat is that the Radiant Form of the spiritual Master remains with the initiated souls every second of their life, even though physically the spiritual Master may be thousands of kilometers away. Whenever they want, the disciples can close their eyes, invert their attention, and have the blessed darshan of their spiritual Master as well as request guidance on any worldly or spiritual question.

Later, the spiritual Master, along with Mata Rita Ji, Mata Harbhajan Kaur Ji, and Rimjhim Ji, cut a welcome cake. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj then addressed the hundreds of people visiting India from different parts of the world. He exhorted everyone to derive maximum benefit from the upcoming 19th International Conference on Human Integration by attending the satsangs and seminar programs, and by devoting as much time as possible to one’s meditation practices. Receptivity is the key to speedy spiritual progress, he stressed, and constant loving remembrance of God propels us toward our goal in rapid leaps and bounds.

“The spiritual Master’s words were so heart-warming and inspiring!” expressed a delighted visitor from Spain. “It’s my first visit to India and I’m really looking forward to spending an uplifting fortnight at the conference.”

19th International Conference on Human integration

The 19th International Conference on Human integration was held under the auspices of H.H. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj from February 5-7, 2010 at Kirpal Bagh, in Delhi, India. Hundreds of thousands of people attended the convention to benefit from the present spiritual Master’s divine darshan and uplifting discourses as well as to participate in the seminars organized in commemoration of the 116th birth anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj (1894-1974).

In the evening of February 5 the program commenced with several members of the sangat reciting spiritual songs, poems, and personal anecdotes illustrating the love and grace of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj. After Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj’s arrival, the seminar, “Peaceful Life through Meditation,” opened with religious and political leaders sharing their views on the topic with the audience.

In his inauguration address, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj drew attention to the fact that in today’s competitive and fast-paced world we have placed spirituality at the very bottom of our list of priorities. Consequently, strife and chaos rule our life and we’re unable to find lasting peace and harmony. If we can only take out time to meditate daily, he explained, we will not only pave way for our soul’s merger with God but also attain a deep and enduring joy by experiencing the divine Light and Sound through meditation.     “The discourse today was truly powerful,” stated a delegate from the USA. “It filled me with renewed zeal to sit for meditation daily no matter the outer circumstances.”

Distinguished speakers for the evening included Member of Indian Parliament Mr. J. P. Agarwal, who emphasized that kind words not only heal others’ pain but also induce peace and calm in our own selves.

Dr. Harshavardhan, Member of Delhi Legislative Assembly and ex-Education Minister expressed joy at being present on such a significant occasion and urged all to make a firm resolve for eradicating all social and communal ills.

Dr. Maulvi Mufti Mukarram stressed that God remembers those who remember the Lord and who are grateful for God’s countless gifts to us, which include the lofty virtues of love, service, and sacrifice. He also expressed joy at seeing the seed sown many years back by Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj blossoming today into a beautiful flower under the loving care of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj.

Swami Sudharmanand Ji spoke about developing love and compassion for humanity and realizing the innate oneness of all living creatures as the means to achieve everlasting peace on the planet.

Ms. Gerta Koppler from Switzerland reminded the audience that we are all spiritual beings having a physical experience and that we should strive to realize the true Reality by inverting our attention and journeying through the inner spiritual realms.

Last but not the least, Mr. Andrias from Germany stated that a happy and peaceful life can be guaranteed by three things—receiving initiation from a perfect spiritual Master, meditating regularly, and leading an ethical life.

“The program ended with the spiritual Master descending the dais and coming in the midst of the congregation, showering joyful love-laden glances upon all,” recounted an attendee from Punjab, India.

February 6 marked the 116th birth anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj and was celebrated at Kirpal Bagh by an international gathering of thousands. After the preliminary Gurbani recital, Mata Harbhajan Kaur Ji, Mata Rita Ji, and Rimjhim Ji, along with several Western delegates, sang a hymn from the scriptures.

The seminar this day was entitled “Kirpal—Apostle of Human Unity.” Addressing the congregation, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj insisted that unity can only occur when we realize that we are all part of one God. Quoting Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, the present spiritual Master urged all to “Be Good” and inculcate spiritual and ethical virtues; to “Do Good” and serve others with love and compassion; and to “Be One” with God through meditating on the Divine Light and Sound that shines and reverberates within us.

Numerous other speakers also gave out significant messages. Pir Khwaja Ahmed Nizami congratulated all on the birth anniversary of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj and fondly reminisced about his personal association with this great spiritual Master of the past century. Praising the untiring efforts of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj for establishing spiritual awakening and human unity across the globe, he expressed pleasure at seeing people of diverse faiths and nationalities sitting in harmony in the spiritual sanctuary of Kirpal Bagh. He then presented the latest issue of Marathi Sat Sandesh to be released by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj to mark its twenty-fifth anniversary.

Swami Gopalacharya Ji and Lama Lobzang relived warm memories associated with the “Unity of Man Conference” convened by Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj in 1974 in which he single-handedly brought together leaders of diverse religions and faiths on a single platform for the first time.

The subsequent speaker, Isaac Malekar, commented on how beautiful it was to behold our brothers and sisters dwelling in unity under the caring and potent guidance of Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj. Stressing the dire need for human unity in today’s troubled times, he advocated increased use of “we” in place of “I” and “me,” and reminded the listeners that a rainbow is fascinating only because different colors join together to imbue it with riveting beauty.

Afterward, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj walked through the center aisle and lovingly greeted and blessed all present. He later came in the midst of the visitors from the West and cut Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj’s birthday cake. He was accompanied by Mata Harbhajan Kaur Ji, Mata Rita Ji, and Rimjhim Ji.

“Before enjoying a delicious vegetarian meal, the spiritual Master jovially explained the meaning of the Hindi names of several Indian dishes to English-speaking disciples,” related a devotee from Colombia “and bestowed his blessings on the completion of five years by the Mission website www.jyotimeditation.org.”

The seminar held on February 7 was entitled “Role of Spirituality in the Present Environment.” Addressing the vast audience of several thousands  who congregated at Kirpal Bagh, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj explained that spirituality is essentially a path of experiencing for oneself our underlying unity with the entire creation. Mentioning the recently completed Genome Project, the spiritual Master informed that more than ninety-nine percent of the genes of all human beings are exactly the same, thus proving our intrinsic unity. The remaining less-than-one-percent accounts for the differences in our facial features, height, weight, color, and body structure. It is sad indeed, he pointed out, that we pay so little attention to what is common in all of us and foolishly concern ourselves only with the outer trivialities that help distinguish us from one another.

Also mentioning the near-death experiences had by millions of people all over the world, the spiritual Master explained that science today is acknowledging the presence of something other than matter in the human body. This mystical presence is the spirit or soul that is a part of God and gives life to the human body. The purpose of our existence is to unite our soul back with God, he emphasized. We can achieve this goal, he said, by inverting our attention and meditating on the divine Light and Sound.

Next to come up to the podium were noted dignitaries Mr. Suri and Mr. Surinder Pal Singh Bitto. Both praised Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj for his untiring efforts to spread peace and unity in the world and encouraged all to carry and extend this message of love and harmony to their homes and surroundings. The subsequent speakers, Prof. Chandra Shekhar and Mr. Samson from Canada, thanked Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj for his words of wisdom and advised all to inculcate his blessed teachings into their lives.

“The program ended with the spiritual Master uplifting everyone with his sweet divine darshan,” reported an attendee. “Afterward, langar was served to the entire congregation.”

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj granted the holy boon of initiation into the Mysteries of the Beyond to thousands of people on the evening on February 8 at Kirpal Bagh.
