Today's Quote

Through meditation, we can contact the Light and Sound within. Then, we can travel on the inner current through the higher regions until it reaches the Source, God. Like a drop of water returns to the ocean, so does our soul return to the Ocean of God."

Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj

Satsang Broadcast Service

There is a system now in place to broadcast Maharaj Ji’s satsang from USA and Kirpal Ashram to satsang centers around the world using the internet. Generally, as of 2003, there is a live broadcast of the Sunday satsang that Maharaj ji gives on the 1st or 2nd Sunday of every month that he is in Chicago and of major events in Delhi. It is also proposed to run regular satsang programmes on weekly basis from Kirpal Ashram Delhi. We encourage all satsang centers to take part in this service by setting up systems locally to receive either the live broadcasts or the rebroadcasts.

If you are interested in getting the broadcasts and meet the requirements listed below, or if you have any questions about this service, and email to: skrm@sos.org

Requirements
In order for your satsang center to participate in the broadcasts it must meet some of the following requirements – depending on which type of broadcast you wish to receive. The two main broadcasts types are:

Live Broadcast this is, as it sounds, a live broadcast of the satsang as it is being given by Maharaj Ji. It starts whenever the satsang actually starts (usually around 2:30 pm Sunday, Chicago time). The broadcast comes as a live ‘stream’. This means that there is no ability to “rewind” or “pause” the production. The main benefit of this type of broadcast is that it is live and your satsang center is getting the satsang as Maharaj Ji giving it. The down side is that we can never be sure exactly when it starts – and even if it is no time – for your part of the world is might not be a good time. Also, we can not guarntee a problem-free transmission as the internet is not yet that reliable.

Rebroadcast this is a “ recorded version of the live broadcast. It contains the exact same talk as the live broadcast. The main benefit of this type of broadcast is that it can be requested to be made available at a time convenient to your satsang meeting. Also, if you are translating, this version can be “paused” or “rewound” without losing anything.

Both of the above broadcast types are available in either of the following formats:

Video this is a full motion video format that, of course, also contains the audio. It requires a high speed internet connection as well as a way to project the small image to a large crowd (see requirements below).

Audio-only

this is an audio-only broadcast, like listening to the radio. It requires only a modem connection to the internet and speakers (see requirements below).
Please review the requirements below. If you meet the necessary requirements for any of he listed broadcast types and wish to be included in future broadcasts, please contact us at skrm@sos.org.

Satsang Internet Broadcast Requirements

When we first started this service we were given specific guidelines as to how Maharaj Ji wished to organize the broadcasting of satsang.

The first requirement from these guidelines is that a receiving center must be an official satsang center. In the U.S. there are specific requirements to be a satsang center. These must be met. In other countries, the satsang center must be registered with the mission and have current approval to hold satsang. This is what led to the “minimum attendance” portion of the requirements below.

The second requirement is that all efforts should be made to gather in large groups of satsangis to attend the broadcasts. This is the reason for the “driving time between centers” requirement below. If your center is close to another that gets the broadcasts, everyone should go there to receive them.
